Mark Roberds has been with MicroLumen since 1987. With almost 30 years in the industry, Mark brings a wealth of experience to MicroLumen. Mark was heavily involved in the startup of MicroLumen, and he designed many of the processes still followed today.

Rod Peifer has been with MicroLumen since 2002. Rod holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Rod works directly with customers on design and development of new products, in addition to supporting current product manufacturing. Rod has over 35 years of experience in the medical device industry, including ten years working with finished device design and development prior to joining MicroLumen.

Pasquale “Pat" Muia is a customer-centric, transformational Operations Executive with over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. Since 2024, he has served as the Vice President of Operations at MicroLumen. Pat specializes in driving high-growth strategies, profitability, and operational excellence by aligning every level of manufacturing with the needs of the customer. As a decisive leader, he implements LEAN manufacturing methodologies to enhance the end-to-end value stream, ensuring the highest standards of quality, agility, and superior service. By building high-performance cultures and driving deep operations and supply chain optimization, Pat unifies internal functions to consistently deliver stakeholder satisfaction, maximize organizational value, and cultivate accountable, client-focused teams.

Brian LaBarbera serves as Vice President of IT at Microlumen, Inc. and has been a key member of the company since 2004. Brian is a graduate of St. Petersburg College, and holds various technical and professional certifications from Cisco, VMware and Microsoft. Drawing on his early manufacturing experience, Brian has played an important role in various growth and expansion initiatives. With more than 20 years of experience in IT, Brian oversees all aspects of MicroLumen's IT systems, including infrastructure design and management, systems integration, cybersecurity, business continuity and service management.

Cynthia Soto joined MicroLumen in September 2021. Cynthia has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Tissue Engineering and Bioinstrumentation from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Cynthia is responsible for all aspects of the quality systems at MicroLumen, including quality assurance, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and has a research article published in the journal, Technology and Disability.

Cheryl Evans joined MicroLumen in 2024 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2026. Cheryl is a certified public accountant and graduate of the University of Tampa. Cheryl brings strong expertise in financial management, accounting, and strategic planning. Since joining the company, she has played a key role in strengthening financial operations, supporting sustainable growth, and helping guide MicroLumen's long-term financial success.

Donna Stanley has been with MicroLumen since 2024 as Vice President of People Operations, bringing extensive HR leadership experience. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia State University and is known for her ability to build strong relationships, provide strategic HR guidance, and support organizational growth. Prior to MicroLumen, Donna served as VP of Human Resources at Amalie Oil Company, where she helped develop talent, strengthen culture, and drive key people initiatives.

Tim Lynch has been with MicroLumen since 1998. Tim holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, as well as an MBA from the Keller School of Management. Tim manages the daily operations of MicroLumen and also weighs in on design and development issues. Tim is a Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Auditor. He holds a US Patent for a medical device design, and has been published in Medical Device Technology magazine.

Joe Slaven has been with MicroLumen since 1994. Joe attended the University of New Mexico and has been an integral part of the company’s success for many years. Before becoming a Corporate Strategy Advisor, he served as Vice President of Materials, overseeing purchasing and inventory management. Prior to that, Joe spent more than 15 years as Production Manager, where he played a key role in maintaining product quality and ensuring on-time delivery.
